It was another great race on Wednesday night. The Girls Varsity placed 4th and JV came in 3rd! Boys Varsity placed 5th and JV came in 2nd! We had a big crowd at the hill and it was fun to cheer on our Staples Racers! Race Results

This week there will be TWO RACES! Monday (1/24) AND Wednesday (1/26). Monday’s race is a make-up from January 5th.

Please review the following updated information from the CIAC regarding sports. Information regarding Quarantine, Isolation, Close Contact, and Return to Play protocols can be found on pages 6 through 9.

It is HIGHLY recommended that racers wear KN95 masks on the bus.

CIAC UPDATED REGARDING COVID 19

With the needed flexibility due to Covid Return To Play protocols, we are unable to post the final roster for our season at this point.

With that in mind, the following racer’s pass “Round 1” and will be on our roster for the 2nd race of the season. A final roster for the season will be posted by the end of next week.

With this change in our roster, we will move to one team bus for transportation for the remainder of the season.

The 2022 season started off with a great race last night! Both the Boys & Girls Varsity Teams placed 3rd. Boys JV 2nd and Girls JV 3rd. Congrats to all our racers!

Results can be found here. Team results are calculated by adding together the times for the top 6 varsity & JV racers. Staples competes in Class L. 

*All races begin at 4:40 (ish) at Mount Southington. Future race Dates: 1/19, 1/26, 2/2 and 2/9 (SENIOR NIGHT)

*Midterm De-Stress Goodie Bags! The Ski Team will be hosting a fundraiser during midterms! A few items to help students “stay chill.” They’ll be on sale at school beginning next week. Spread the word!

*We love to have all parents cheer at the mountain on race day, but if you are unable to make it you can go to http://ussalivetiming.com/ to check out how the team is doing in real time. Just follow the bib numbers posted on this website before each race.

Varsity Roster is the first 10 bib numbers assigned. JV Roster follows. Racers will compete on the same two courses regardless of Varsity or JV status.
