It was a beautiful evening to celebrate the Class of 2024! Thanks to all who came out to cheer or donated an item to the table–it was an awesome crowd!
Staples Varsity Girls and Boys finished 3rd last night. JV Girls placed 3rd as well and Boys JV took 2nd 👏🏻 These regular season finishes put the Wreckers in good contention to take home some hardware at the STATE RACE (2/29–note date change). Results Here
Next week the team will hit the hill for practice on Monday and Wednesday.

Today (2/7) is the last race of the regular season and a chance for us to celebrate our seniors!
Join us at Mount Southington as we cheer on our 2024 senior class: Max Beres, Jake Coykendall-C, Sydney Feldman-C, Nate Fridland, Sarah Himes, Oliver Howard-C, Logan Manchester-C, Henry Manning, Alannah Morris-C, Isabel Puchert and Athina Sarmiento.
Senior parents if you are coming to the mountain to cheer, please look for a Captains’ parent to give you your child’s BIG HEAD. If you can’t make it, not to worry, we will cheer extra loud! Race Starts @ 4:40
A celebration will follow the race All are welcome and encouraged to stay to enjoy a few treats!

Congratulations to Ean Frankel, Abigail Kane, Logan Manchester, Henry Manning, Alannah Morris, Alexis Robinson, Maddie Stevenson and Ben Zwick for placing in the TOP 30 at last night’s GS Shootout race. They’ll all move on to the SL Shootouts on 2/27 to vie for a spot on TEAM CT!

2/27 SL Shootouts,
STATE RACE is still TBD but will most likely be held during the last week of February (fingers crossed for the cold temps to stick around)!
*Racers who will be racing in GS Shootouts will be alerted by Coaches. Those who place in top 30 in GS Shootouts will advance to SL Shootouts. These individual races determine the CT State Team.

It was a soggy night at Southington but the Wreckers didn’t let a little rain get in their way! Boys Varsity took 1st 👏🏻, and Girls Varsity 3rd. Both Boys and Girls JV took 3rd as well. Correction to yesterday’s post-Both Boys and Girls Varsity took 3rd (Independent Team is not counted in league team standings). Official team and individual results here.

It was a terrific opening race for the Wreckers last night! Teams skied fast and there was a big crowd on hand to cheer them on 👏🏻 We even had our AD, VJ Sarullo at the mountain to support his student athletes!
Both Girls and Boys Varsity took 4th-(Results are based on combine time of top 6 finishes from Varsity line-up). JV Girls 3rd and JV Boys 4th (same calculations for JV). All team and individual results can be found on the CISL Website. Race rosters (Bib #’s) are also posted on the website about 4:00 on day of race.
